Flying

The Albuquerque International Sunport is the closest major airport to Santa Fe.  It is a world-renowned, full-service facility that welcomes more than six million travelers per year. As the state’s largest commercial airport, the Sunport serves as the gateway to the diverse cultures, rich history and breathtaking landscapes that make New Mexico.

The Santa Fe Airport is 15 minutes by car to the La Fonda on the Plaza hotel.  It has regional service to Phoenix and Dallas on American Airlines, and to Denver on United Airlines, and connects from those cities to anywhere in the world.

Shuttle Service

Albuquerque: If arriving in Albuquerque, you may pre-book shuttle service through Sandia Shuttle Express that can transport you to and from the airport and the local hotels in Santa Fe. Santa Fe is approximately 66 miles and a little over an hour drive from the Albuquerque Sunport.

Santa Fe: From the Santa Fe Airport, Roadrunner shuttle service can be used to get to and from the Airport. Hertz and Avis have rentals at the Santa Fe Airport.

Car Rental

Albuquerque: All major car rental agencies have pick up and drop off points at Albuquerque Sunport. Car rental shuttles provide free transportation between the terminal building and the Car Rental Center. Shuttles run every 5 minutes from the commercial lane located outside the 1st level of the airport terminal building. Shuttle buses are handicap-accessible.

Santa Fe: At the Santa Fe Airport, Hertz and Avis have rental pick-up and drop off points.
